The Licensing Coordinator employs a range of communication, analytical, and process development skills to collaborate with the product development teams in the Company and with outside Licensors. Coordinates with multiple internal departments to ensure timely and efficient license acquisition and renewal, and to ensure compliance with organization policies and contractual agreements. In addition, the Licensing Coordinator maintains and establishes relationships with licensing partners within the gift, home, garden, and sports industries.
|Duties:|| Create, review and submit monthly and quarterly royalty reports for all licensors based on contract requirements.|
Perform monthly internal audits to ensure accurate royalty assignment.
Create licensing agreements and amendments as required.
Administrate patents and registration, licensing contracts, FLA and other contracts.
Communicate with and provide information to licensors on all contractual or royalty inquiries.
Process all royalty and contract information into product database.
Manage licensor approvals for all licensed products and coordinate shipments of samples to licensors.
Work with all teams to manage contract timelines and inventory levels.
Work with licensors to coordinate schedules for all licensed product releases while adhering to critical deadlines.
Document and route license submissions to obtain the necessary internal approvals; follow up on submission/approval process and report back to the licensors.
Maintain Digital Asset Management System.
Assist the Finance Department with all licensing audits.
Assist team in gathering category and competitive research and other relevant market data.
Assist in the collection of artwork and materials for reference and presentations.
|Qualifications:|| High school diploma required, post-secondary degree or diploma preferred.|
2-3 years administrative experience preferably in legal, accounting or licensing.
Excellent communication, comprehension and arithmetic skills.
Strong project management and organization skills.
Intermediate level knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point; experience with Access an asset.
